For all of you Jalops, who adore the Mazda Miata: Here is a mock-up of one of the many designs that resulted in the *cough* 'Amazing' 2-seat roadster. As you can see the front is pretty much a different design than the Miata as we know it, with a completely different front bumper, hood, and pop-up headlights that have somewhat rounded edges

It looks like a Miata and a C4 Corvette had a 1 night stand and this was the result. Still, to be fair, the Miata did pre-date the rounder versions of the C4 vette that I am reminded of (and happen to be quite fond of).
Considering how long the C4 was around and its impact, I'm not actually surprised seeing some influence in the design in the front bumper area.

Digging the FD RX7 lights, but everything below the character line needs to go. I like my Miata with a grille. Also: rectangular headlights? Out of place. There isn't anything rectangular about the car.
